Project Engineer (Design & Process), Separation Technologies Applied Research and Translation Centre (START Centre)
The Project Engineer (Design & Process), will be an active and contributing member of START’s Engineering Team with core functions to assist Engineering Manager and Project In-charge to execute assigned tasks in relevance to Technology Scale-up, transition from Lab-scale to Pilot Scale validation of Technologies.
Responsibilities:

To actively engage with fellow team members, including Mechanical, E&IC counter-parts for preparation of Tender specifications, Proposals and system setup as per related Project requirements

To conceptualize, design and draft PFD and P&ID for various processes or Project related systems, including GA, Layout and routing, both 2D and 3D
-
To carry out related simulations where necessary, both internally as well as with vendors / contractors

Tender / Proposal preparations for Fabrication, Integration, Installation and Commissioning of Pilot plants on site

Tender / Proposal preparations for Fabrication, Integration, Installation and Commissioning of In-house test units or systems

To ensure accurate Supply / Fabrication / Integration / of all system components and equipment as per required scope of supply

To ensure on-site Installation / Commissioning are in line with required Layouts and pipe routings

To support Engineering Manager for process equipment sourcing, cost estimates, alternate solutions

To support and assist in Commissioning works for Pilot plant systems on site as well as other In-house systems

To support START Project teams with Design and Process planning for additional in-house systems when new projects and requirements arise

To assist and engage in Process or Equipment trouble-shooting when need arises

To support other Project relevant scopes where required by Management
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Environmental/Mechanical/Electrical)

At least 3 years of experience in related field for Water treatment, Membrane technologies, Environmental Engineering

Demonstrated track record of successfully executed projects with high value

Experience in working in a fast-paced result-oriented work environment entailing active team participation as well as individual contribution

Project Management skills

Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project

AutoCAD proficiency is required, 3D modeling and drawing with Solidworks would be an advantage

Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to perform duties independently
