[Position filled] Program Executive/Assistant Manager, Singapore Membrane Consortium

SG MEM has been set up as a platform to showcase Singapore’s unique ecosystem for membrane technology, and to leverage the same towards developing mutually beneficial collaborations with industrial partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the administration and outreach activities of SG MEM. This position reports into the Program Office of SG MEM.

  • Operations
    • Managing membership operations including responding to enquiries, fees & contracts management, mailing lists updates, and industry and faculty member database refresh etc.
    • Managing SG MEM website including responding to online enquiries, website maintenance, contents refresh, RSS feed maintenance, periodic database updates etc.
    • Developing, maintaining and refreshing all print collaterals e.g. newsletters, brochures, presentation decks, reports etc.
    • Developing and maintaining yearly events calendar
    • Organizing SG MEM events including symposia, workshops, business and faculty matching sessions etc.
    • Managing visitors to SG MEM, including vendors and suppliers.
    • Liaison with the Principal Investigators (PIs) of individual projects in the cluster, and maintaining records.
    • Arranging and coordinating meetings, seminars and other functions
    • Assist with the consortium’s annual progress reports update to funding agency.
  • Project management
    • Define and set-up the SG MEM project management framework.
    • Logistics support and stakeholder management of SG MEM-led projects/proposal.
    • Preparation of progress reports on SG MEM-led project proposal covering schedule, performance targets, risk management etc.
  • Technical writing
    • Write and compile technically accurate content to support SG MEM-led projects/proposals validated through research and interviews with subject matter experts.


  • Degree in Engineering/Science
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication
  • Meticulous organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Preferred 1+ years of experience in similar capacity
  • Preferred experience in membranes, chemistry and/or materials technology
  • Preferred exposure to scientific research and technical writing
  • Preferred experience with design and procurement of communication collaterals
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across academia, institutional research, and industry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
