About the Event

What would you bet your future on? Technologies that convert carbon dioxide into sustainable materials? Recycling lithium batteries through electrochemical separation? The removal of carbon dioxide at scale through seawater? Or other equally game-changing solutions to improve liveability for cities in the tropics?

This 28 July, we bring you the sustainability event of the year — the Grand Finale of The Liveability Challenge 2021 — where six finalist teams will pitch their cutting-edge innovations  for our two tracks: decarbonisation and re-imagining resources.

Beating more than 400 applicants from over 60 countries to earn their place at the grand finale, the six finalist teams will take the stage at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre and convince a panel of Asia’s most sought-after investors that they deserve the ultimate prize of up to S$1 million in project funding and other exclusive funding opportunities.

We are excited to unveil the grand finalists:
Aegis Packaging (Singapore)
Solution: Recyclable oxygen barrier packaging

DiviGas (Singapore)
Solution: Carbon capture and hydrogen recycling at hydrogen plants

Econic Technologies (United Kingdom)
Solution: Use of carbon dioxide to produce sustainable polyurethanes, textiles and surfactants

NEU Battery Materials (Singapore)
Solution: Recycling lithium batteries through electrochemical separation

Seachange (United States of America)
Solution: Large-scale removal of carbon dioxide through seawater

SEPPURE (Singapore)
Solution: Solvent recovery and reuse using nanofiltration technology

Who will emerge the Grand Winner of The Liveability Challenge 2021?

You’re invited to the virtual showdown of the year on Wednesday, 28 July at 2 pm (SGT / GMT +8). Watch the teams pitch and spar with our judges, hear from the Grand Winner of the 2020 edition, and gain insights at our plenary discussion on sustainability and innovation and what needs to be done to achieve impact at scale.
